The "Share" option in in context menu not working

I noticed that the "Share" option in the context menu does not work. When I click "Share" nothing happens. This is the "Share" button to share files with apps such as Windows 10 mail (Circled in red). Not to be confused with the Share button for OneDrive. I know I can use the "Send To" button to send the file to email, but this only uses Outlook by default (Even though I have Windows 10 mail set as default). I don't want to use Outlook at home for various reasons.

I saw a thread from 2019 where this same issue was reported, and there was no solution, so I thought I'd post the issue again the bug forum.

Did you already try the 64-bit context menu?

The Share menu items does not work for me using the 64 or 32 bit context menu. I changed it under Configuration -> Shell Integration -> Show the 64 bit context menu.

Pity. Maybe it's hardwired to Explorer. Whatever, I cannot do anything. This menu is owned by the shell.

Hello, any update on that specific point?
on xyplorer whatever settings i use with the shell integration, no share menu appear at all.

Any idea how to solve that ? (wanna use the link to windows to send files to my android)

No, but these things may change with XYTB (XY moving from VB to TB (twinBASIC)).

twinBASIC on your radar Don - wow! That's some news (at least I was not in the know that that might happen)! Never heard of it before. Visited their site now. Seems to be able to open some fundamental new possibilities for XY. Good luck!

Hi. You can install this program (it doesn't have a Chinese interface):
https://github.com/BluePointLilac/ContextMenuManager

Open the tab with the window icon at the top and select "Analysis..." from the menu on the left. Drag the file there and see which items are displayed.

Then open the left tab and open the "Send" menu in the left list. See which items are displayed and send a screenshot. Send a new screenshot of the context menu in XY for the same file. Don't forget to enable "show only 64-bit context menus"

I know this is an old topic, but this is happening to me on version 28.20.0200. Any thought on how to fix this? I tend to share a decent amount of files to my phone which is connected to my PC with phonelink.

I know there is also a right click option in the regular file explorer for Send to My Phone, but this does not show in the right click menu for XYplorer.

It is visible here, but not working..

Edit to add that it works fine with Windows Explorer.
No apps to use it with though, so not useful at all..

Works fine here under conditions :

Windows Explorer Right click, Share : nothing happens
Windows Explorer : Shift Right click, Share : OK, works fine
XYPlorer : never works.

I know you're asking for people to confirm it is working but I just wanted to add that, as @noembryo said, it's visible for me but not working. Win 10 Pro 22H2 and Win 11 Pro 24H2.
