And Windows Explorer can preview it correctly?

I doubt that, that preview handler doesn't include .xlsm normally...

Without some office installation XY can't preview such formats.
So I guess its a problem with your Excel set-up.

I preview all office formats in XY with the Total Commander plugin ULister
which uses the Oracle Outside In Technology viewers.
This viewers can preview almost anything format in high quality.
I know that Don doesn't like additional external libraries
but adding support for this would be an enormous benefit.

I can't also preview xlsm format document in windows exlporer. Is Office or my setup problem?
if I make some mistake setup of xy, but others office format document is not problem, for example, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx etc., my office are office365, 64bit, os is win10 64bit.
Like you I had been using Total Commander for a long time, and used ULister for preview almost all format document, it is excellen. I would like to know if XY can use this plugin?

The installed preview handler (from Office 365) doesn't support .xlsm => No preview
And no, XY doesn't support that Total Commander plugin

I doesn't need to support the TC plugin.
It should support the Oracle viewers like the TC plugin does.

Try to tick this:
Configuration | Other | Shell Integration | 64-bit Windows | Use 64-bit preview handlers for preview

And you can double click an xlsx file and it opens Excel ?
If yes, look in the registry whar preview handlers are registered.
It should be as the last in the following list but may depend on the Office version you have.
