Toggle Transparency Grid

Is there a keyboard shortcut or toolbar button we can add, that will Toggle the Transparency Grid.
Sometimes with certain icons, the tranparaency makes them very hard to see.
A quick toggle of the grid on and off, would help to see the icons / PNGs
