Single click on icon does not open item

Since upgrading to 22.60.0100, when I click on an icon in the file list, the file/folder does not open. I have the option set as shown in the screenshot.

This was working fine on 22.60.

There is a natural conflict with Configuration | Preview | Mouse Down Blow Up | Mouse Down on Thumbnails and Icons | Enable blow ups on file icons as well. If you untick this it should work.

I unchecked the option as requested and the issue is resolved.
Why did this conflict suddenly arise?

A bug fix in a related area. This sometimes leads to a decreased tolerance.
PS: Looked at it again, and it will work again as before in the next beta.
