Assigning extension .ogg to the "Windows Media Player Rich Preview Handler"
works for me, using the K-Lite Standard Codec Pack.

Just LAVFilters without any assignment works fine here as well

The LAV filters are part of the K-Lite pack
but without an assigment no preview handler was responsible for this extension in my system.
