The attached file seems to be valid HTML and Chrome (and Edge) handle it well, but XY's preview has a problem with the SVG-tag, as the screenshot illustrates.

I guess this can't be fixed by XY
as long as the internal Windows html previewer isn't supporting it.

Ah, right - I don't use Windows Explorer (and thus the internal previewer) anymore, so I didn't realize that's where the limitation comes from

Thie has nothing to do with using Wndows Explorer.
XY has no own previewer for many file formats.
It depends on the installed Windows previewers.

Yep, but WE is probably the only other system (non XY) my PC that uses these preview-handlers...

That's not a preview handler, either your IE / Edge component supports it or not

As said its not yet supported by any preview handler.
And all browers I know can display it.
As Highend says your screen is from a browser and not from any preview handler.
