XYplorer is a really neat program that I recently purchased. The only feature that I really miss that is in almost all competing products is the ability to open a file in the text editor of your choice by clicking a button or shortcut key (Ctrl-E). I realize that this can be accomplished in other ways. I am a programmer and seem need this feature a lot. I do not think it would be that difficult.
As a programmer I realize the requests never end!!

Oh but you can open the selected item(s) with your text editor using one click or one keyboard shortcut :
- In a KS: create a new UDC (menu User) in category "Open With" for your favorite text editor. Assign a keyboard shortcut and then you can select a file and press that KS to open it in your favorite text editor
- In a click: create a new Catalog item pointing to your text editor, and choose as Action "Open selected List item(s) with Application" Then you can select a file and click on that item to open it in your favorite text editor
