Two Branch Tree Layout in 22.40 should be fixed in order to remove the thick line between This PC and Network when both are not collapsed and you are clicking on a PC in Network.
Because you separate This PC from Network (good job) It should be no connection between This PC and Network because now are unrelated.

You mean tree path tracing.

I was aware of this but left it there on purpose. But if I think about it again, I think you are right. I will remove it.

One more thing.
This PC and Network are on the same level in tree, like 2 drives.
Why is necessary to connect them by a thin dotted line?

Tree logic. They are siblings, children of an invisible parent. When Network is out of view the line tells you that there is some sibling down there.

Sorry for adding one more post to this topic.
This is not happening for 2 drives which are on the same level in tree.
So it should be the some for This PC and Network. No dotted line.

I found why it is displayed on your computer. You have Tree and List -> Show Recycle Bin Folder = ON.
If you turn off Show Recycle Bin Folder, the dotted line between drives is not displayed.

I confirm that you must have found a bug.
In my screenshot there is no recycle bin, because I have the Mini Tree activated.
But yes, if I use the normal tree and turn recycle bin off, like you said, then the dotted lines disappear.
