The tablist button popupmenu isn't showing custom icons, it does show CFI/folder icons though still, but any tabs manually renamed to include an external icon resource (internal icons ok) seem to show as blank.

Not sure exactly when it started, I could narrow down if need be, using 22.30.0100 currently.

Fix comes.

Just tried .103, the icons aren't scaled to 16x16, or actually maybe they are left and top padded, also affected are internal icons now, anyway they are cut off by about 4px (120dpi).

Yes. Next beta should be better.

Just testing .104, sorry to bother you again with something so minor, but it still looks a little off compared to how they used to look, below screenshot shows old XY on the left, and .104 on the right, the relevant icon is the middle red stop internal icon.


Also below I have enlarged a screenshot to make it easier to notice, but compare a renamed tab and then a CFI below of the same icon, notice the top one is ever so slightly cropped on the right.

Guess it was time to rewrite the whole thing. So I did that. Next beta. Wish me luck.

I'm having this issue now too, but I am guessing this is not an XY problem, more likely something on my system, I am hoping this screenshot will be enough for someone here to maybe help figure out why my CFI are no longer working.

Note the circles in the screenshot, where I am comparing the File Explorer views of my XY icons folder. If I set the view to Medium icons, they show properly (in File Explorer only). However, if the view is set to small icons or details view, I am only seeing the generic white file icon. Note too in the XY CFI dialog, the previews are NOT showing. Again, I think this might not be an XY problem, but maybe something with my configuration on this new Insider build of Windows 11. Anyone have any ideas?

EDIT: I checked on a Windows 11 machine running version 10.0.22000.376 and XY CFI is working properly, so I am guessing this is something with the Insider Build. I am hoping it's either a setting that can be changed, or a bug that will get fixed, but if this is a new "Feature" from Microsoft, then XY's CFI will be broken.

FIXED! Based on a suggestion I read from someone having a similar issue, I changed the ico file association to Irfanview, and CFI once again works!
