When doing the rename thingie on mp3 files is XY writing ID3v1 or ID3v2? And what about character encoding? Is it the usual windows encoding or some variant of Unicode?
Now that I think of it why not throwing in a wish as well? What about special rename for wma and aac files? :-)

Unfortunately, it's only able to do the more simple ID3v1 as the specs for ID3v2 (as I understood it) are not as defined and the lengths are flexible, thus requiring the module to change size whereas the v1 are fixed length and can be replaced easily.
I'd search for these two strings on forums here to find some prior threads...I know it's been discussed in more detail before.
