Digital camera and USB

Setup:

- Windows Vista XP1
- XY 7.0
- Canon G7 camera via USB 2.0

This seems more like a driver specific issue. Is anyone else able to use 'other' digital cameras and access them via USB through XY?

I've used USB thumbdrives and other storage devices, but for some reason XY is not happy with the Canon. It doesn't show it, nor does it let me copy/paste images from Explorer to XY.

this happened to me once.
your camera may be configured as a capture device instead of a removable drive.
is it shown in as a drive in windows explorer?

I don't recall whether my Nikon Coolpix shows up via XY because after geting my SD card reader/writer, I've used that instead which works just fine with XY...it's better solution for me because that way, I'm not using any battery life in camera, and removing/inserting card isn't that much effort as trade-off for that benefit.

It's configured as a storage device, and shows up fine in Windows Explorer. Other usb storage devices show up for me in XY, but not this camera. I'm not too worried about it just curious if someone else has run into this.
