File filters on search don't seem to work

I'm doing a search for "guinness" on "01-lift", and the directory contains, well see the image below. I'm excluding six types of files, again see the image, and add "*.zip" as the sixth.
Now look at the results, seven (of 15) RAR files are visible, and the little note on the status bar tells me that "search done in 42 secs (scanned 4,085 files and 57 folders)", so ***all" files have been searched, including nearly a gigabyte of .mov and .mp4 files, which are unlikely to ever contain the string "guinness".
So am I doing something wrong? For what it's worth, same happens if I change the exclusions to "file:*.whatever"
