Hi,

I know there is 3 Thumbnail size at the moment.
There are Size #1, Size #2, and Size #3

My question are, how create Thumbnail Size #4 ?

* I know Command ID for Thumbnail #3 are #308;

Simply put: You can't

There are ways around the limitation, but I'm not sure it's worth the effort. You can have another XYplorer.ini file (e.g., XYplorer_Gallery.ini, but the name is not important). You can start XY in another instance using your different INI file in which would have the additional thumbnail sizes. Under the top menu File > Settings Special > Save copy of Configuration as..." you can save your configuration settings using your different thumbnail sizes and even change the location of the thumbnail cache that uses these other thumbnail sizes for this new XYplorer_Gallery.ini instance. You would then run XY in another instance using a script with that ini file. As I said, it may not be worth the effort.

Three options isn't bad, but one or two more would be great... This would be a fabulous feature.

Each size has its own hard disk cache, so that more sizes also use more space.

Ahhh... indeed. And each size would have to be individually rebuilt separately (I believe).

Yep. XYplorer thumbnails are built for speed. So there has to be a cache for each size, otherwise scaling would have to be done all the time, which would reduce the speed.

Solid-state drives are getting bigger and faster, so I don't have to care about space. I usually only need 3 sizes, but occasionally need another size, if possible via script? Not very necessary. . .

Well, everyone can always use an additional one Currently I'm not planning anything in the thumbnail department.
