Any chance? Sound Wave View for WAV audio?

Hello developers. I work with sounds and have thousands of them
Any chances to include in near future sound wave view (to see the shape of wav file) and duration of sound file? For example, here is a screenshot from a sound manager software, guess discontinued:

If you include or add, it will be a great audio sample manager used by thousands!

For file duration you can add a column with Property Length.

I'd love to add it if it can be done fast enough. But I checked that once and did not find a fast enough way to create that wave image. If you got any better information...

Using the bass library it's acceptable fast but ofc that's a question what acceptable means for a user/you
E.g. displaying the waveform of a 10 MB, 44100, stereo .wav file needs ~100ms

I guess I would need less detail and more speed. And no 3rd party library.

It doesn't need to show two waves for stereo, just the waveform.
A fast render only for wav files from visible window (not all files in folder) I think should be fine and fast enough.

Overkill for a file manager IMO.

Maybe not if the files you are managing are waveforms and sound files?

I will add my own liking for a waveform viewer to a few voices I have found on the forum.
