Confusing HOME definition??

I've just noticed that actually Home is only working for the current open tab. All this while I was expecting Home is something that can be set permanent to some user-specified location. The same concept applied to all web browsers e.g. Internet Explorer.

No wonder I've tried setting the home so many times but after I reopen the XYPlorer.. The Home button is disabled!

So, my question is why XYPlorer think that Home should work that way - only for current tab instead of permanently set Home?

Whatever it is, I really hope that XYPlorer could make the Home be set permanently to user-defined location.

Actually I want to set the Home the same as the permanent start-up path which is My Documents.

Thank you.

Well...Home works for any tab that has a "Home" set, and that value is retained as long as the tab remains open, so it's semi-permanant...the difference between XY and a web browser is that browsers (like IE) only can have a global value set for Home but XY has it at the next lower level instead, so one can have 3 tabs, each with a different Home, ok?

It took me a few months to get used to how it worked and now I tend to only have my initial tab set as having a Home, and any other tabs just come and go...

As you noted "Home" in XY is tab home.

Sounds like a valid idea. I will add this in 7.10 under menu Go: "goto startup path" whether it's the permament one or not: it's the one you started the session with.
