To Clipboard subitems = Trailing <crlf>

In scripting if you check what's inside the clipboard (and was copied via "To Clipboard" before contains a trailing <crlf>
That's a bit irritating if you do a comparison between actual files and the number of items in the clipboard.
Can you please remove the trailing <crlf> for all those "To Clipboard" commands?
