Decided to refresh and collapse tree and now working correctly

hmmm not seen such a thing here ever. But vaguely remember somebody reporting this before, search proved useless.

but i have another issue in info panel where tab headers look strange at first, but clicking another tab and coming back to original tab makes it look better.

Another issue in main tabs is: when moving mouse several times quickly between list below and toolbar above gives a bright green flash on all tabs. the flash is like les than 100ms i guess.

All this might be GUI related tiny issues which dont bother me much. But like you said i am just forewarning a lurking bug hiding somewhere.

@graham:
using XP or Vista?

I'am using XYplorer on WinXP Pro and never had these issues, maybe its a Vista problem because of the mapping for example that "Programme" and "Program Files" in Vista is mapped to the same folder on disk...

Using xphome

At the time i did set up a home network and generally mess around so that may be the answer but neither folder duplicated was shared. No reoccurance so this could be a non-event down to me messing around!

yeah me too...

@serendipity : yeah i also saw those green lines through the tabs.
its there for a long time now.... since errrr.... i think the introduction of xp's theme. it there for the purpose of changing focus... no real harm/annoyance.

@graham : i sometimes click on a folder or changing directory, i get no refresh... it just still display the old directory details in a new directory :/
but a quick manually refresh fix the glitch

System : Windows XP Pro SP2

I cannot reproduce any of the stuff mentioned here. Duplicate folders? That was a bug years ago. Maybe we are seeing a distant echo... Green flash?? Must be a graphic card thing.

I've seen a green flash on both of my machines, so it's not a graphic card issue, perhaps a specific setting affects it though. I've noticed it in the tool and tab bar.

Just waving the mouse all around the two controls usually causes it to happen. Sometimes it appears related to the tooltips other times not so much.

Not that that helps solve this. :?

The only time I now see it is when I select My Network places

tree shows

My Computer
Desktop
Local Disk (C:)
DVD-RAM Drive (D:)
My network Places
home
maincomp
maincomp

This could well be down to me but was surprised as does not show the same with MSWE.

Looks like a bug. Is maincomp also duplicated in the list?

Are you using cached servers? Please check:
Tools / List Management / Servers in My Network Places...
There might be a duplicate entry...

Edit

Just updated to ....116 and it all appears correct - no duplication!
not tested other than a quick look but seems resolved
--------------------

follow up prior to edit -

no cached servers -
Tools / List Management / Servers in My Network Places... is dimmed (not used)

Yes it shows in list as

home
maincomp
maincomp

What possibly preceded this was I changed the name of my computer from home to maincomp but that seemed no problem and worked.

I did nothing to fix it. Auto-fixing bugs... cool.

Just as a follow-up, I've seen double entries in the tree a couple of times myself, but it never seemed important enough to post it here and it was usually gone after a while, but I don't recall what I did to make it disappear nor what circumstances it occured, so not much help to solve the problem I guess...

Okay, if you ever find a way to reproduce it you know whom to tell all about it... :)
