Unable to Modify Tab Color

Win XP with XY beta 0076
I am trying to set the Open Tab Header to reverse the colors so it stands out more as follows:
Configuration\Interface Colors\Tab Headers
Using the color selection dialog, I select white for the text and black for the background
The following are returned:
Open Tab Text= FFFFFF
Background=000000
But the open tab header now disappears as it is white on white
-Also, 'Reset colors to factory defaults' does not work

The Background color can only be set in Visual Style Classic. (I should document this somewhere in the interface -- I know!)

And perhaps disable the fields for the other styles? Just to make it absolutely clear.
Otherwise I'm likely to forget about this fact, ignore the documentation, and report it in the future.

But it's only true for the main tabs, whereas the info panel tabs always can have a background color (they are always in classic style). So disabling is not the answer.

Ah.. so they are! I don't think I ever noticed that before.
