That is kinda strange but it happened several of times since quite a few weeks....
Mouse over the cursor over a zipped folder let freeze XY and there is no way out. Restart requested...

What is this and why? Any recommendation how to fix that? .... Or is it a bug? Very suspicious s*. I do not like it

What happens when you disable *.zip in "Web Files" (Configuration | Preview | Previewed Formats | Select category to add and remove file extensions)?

Nop, that is not the issue.
As you said, I suspended the preview for ZiP files, then save preferences and restart.

But let me check a few things.. Xy seems not to crash "touching" every packed folder... hmmm...

Go here:
Configuration | Information | File Info Tips | Show Hover Box | Select Item Types...

and disable "Archive Files".

yep, got that... but as I know know the issue occurred just with one folder ... It was a material design icon folder with thousand of files and a few hundert sub folders.. Not heavy but probably just a bit too much for xy--- I had some crashes before but can't remember why and when ,... sorry.
