Fixed! Grabbed the backup data from C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\XYplorer\AutoBackup and replaced in C:\Users\ms\AppData\Roaming\XYplorer\

Just beware this might happen if you unselect check for updates.

Yes I can.

Just updated to the latest version. When I press F9 I get this error before going into the configuration screen.

Then I click Startup and Exit Option then uncheck 'check for updates on startup'. Then exit program by clicking close program clicking cross top right hand corner.

Then when I try and start the program again I get this error.

To stop this error I need to copy the backup files as I mentioned above, then go back into configuration and check 'check for updates on startup'.

Weird. Can you send me your XYplorer.ini file by mail, please? (The one that makes the error, of course)

Ok, so I deleted my faulty XYplorer.ini file (I think that was a mistake). On startup I was unregistered, that's ok as I replaced the details. Then turned on check for updates and then turned it off. That fixed the problem.
Doing that I've lost my configuration, ie large icons, favorite folders, etc. No problem I can fix that.

I do still have my original faulty ini file. If I load that back I get my configuration back, but also the error. That's no problem either because I can just leave 'check for updates' on and it works fine.

I can still send you the faulty ini file if you want. I need the email address to send it to though.
