On restart, active tabs switch back to "this pc"

Hi all

Long time no see, which means everything running smoothly ;-)

Since a few weeks, my active tabs keep switching to "This PC" on launch/relaunch of the program. I normally minimize to tray, it even happens there when I reactivate XYplorer. Not immediately though, which makes it a pain to replicate with "minimize".

Example: I work in "C:\Users\abonhote\Downloads", then close the window or exit the program. After a while, I reopen it and find myself in "This PC" which shows my drives. I NEVER want to be there, reminds me of Windows Explorer. In the breadcrumb, I faintly see my download folder as a reminder that something happened here.

I can't think of a setting that enables that, nor of me changing any setting in the last few weeks.

Any idea highly appreciated

Cheers

Any idea anyone?

I could of course start with a fresh config, but this would be like booting a server when a single process died.

Any hint highly appreciated.

Cheers

Are you saving your settings on exit?
Have you set a permanent startup path?

Yes.

No.

It's really annoying. Funny that nobody else experiences this, so it must be my config :-|

Next question then, are you using any special startup script that might be responsible for this?

And finally, your settings for Save on Exit include Tabs (as seen below)?

Hi Ralph

- No startup scripts
- All boxes checked

Weird, really ...

Then I'm sorry but out of ideas.

Eh ... I probably found the reason. I cross checked all the lnk files I had and cleaned up. Apparently there was one customized .lnk that caused this.

So PEBKAC - sorry for bugging you.
