Copy queue

Hello,

I am using background queue in xyplorer. Problem I am seeng (or it is not problem but not user friendly behavior) is the copy window. I am using XYCOPY. When I put for example 5 jobs into queue and first start I minimize it to taskbar and I am doing something else on the PC (it can took for example 30 minutes to be done). What happen when the first job is finished it opens next one in the queue, but on top of all windows and take focus. I would prefer to open next window minimized if the previous XYCOPY was minimized. Because manytimes what happened to me, I was hitting ESC or doing something else by keyboard in another application but unfortunatelly next XYCOPY was opened on top and by pressing "ESC" for example I canceled the operation. Of course I did not want to do that. What do you thinkg about it? If the previos XYcopy is in taskbar minizimed then the next one should be also minimized.

Thank you,

Going by the help file, enabling Tools > Configuration > File Operations > File operation progress dialog modeless, should help. Do you have this enabled?

Also, how do you start these XYcopy operations?

Hi,

thank you for you reply. Modeless window is enabled. This I think is the main behavior when copy / move by xycopy is modeless so you can work with xyplorer as you want during the operation. This one I have enabled.
How I am starting xycopy... it is by Copy / Move function. Mostly I am doing of move data from my notebook to my NAS. So I have background processing and queue enabled. I run move operations on most of the folders on my PC and I am queuing all I need to move. Then I am working on the PC and also in XYplorer and waiting until all is complete. But when the queue change to new "how to say" line, then move progress window (I guess it is xycopy, because I use it by default) come to in front of all apps (on top) and has focus. And it sometimes come on top when I am writting something (like email) and it has focus so I stop to write to the email client or sometimes I hit ESC and cancel the move. Worse I did not recognize it was canceled, because it contione with the next "line" in the queue... later I find out the data were not moved. When the modeless xycopy window starts minimized and does not stole my focus it will be wonderfull.

As a workaround, you could set Tools > Configuration > File Operations > Custom Copy Operations > Configure > Show progress dialog, to false?

If that fails or isn't convenient, you could try a fresh instance of XYplorer, to see if your settings are somehow corrupted.

FWIW, my own experience with Custom Copy is that the XYcopy window remains in the background between jobs if initially backgrounded.

I have custom copy operations disabled... I never used it, my copy dialog is like explorer one. Let me try to test this one and see how it works. Thank you very much for the hint.
