Timer safe belt when drag and dropping

Hi,
I have a suggestion regarding a safe belt when drag and dropping. I dont like confirmation po-ups. Nor I don't like accidently moving a folder to an adjacent one.
So a solution for me seems clear : Setting a timer safe belt when drag and dropping. On droping, if the timer not elapsed, then show a confirmation pop-up, else execute the drag and drop action.
What do you think ?
