Hello,
I just downloaded this product and have found an issue that will be a deal breaker for me if I can't find a solution (I'm sure there is one though).
In a directory I have a shortcut to a network directory the purpose of which is to drag files and drop them on to the network directory shortcut. I've found that the program won't let me drag and drop within the directory. The structure is like below (with the 3 doc files and directory shortcut link within directory "Temp":
C:\Temp\
random_word.doc
random1_word.doc
random2_word.doc
Shortcut_to_net_dir <--network directory shortcut link
For example, I left click on "random_word.doc and try to drop it on directory Shortcut_to_net_dir and I can't

I couldn't find a way to do it, either. That's odd, because you can do it in WE.
However, you can add your network drop location to the Catalog, or open a new tab with the network drop location. And if you lock the new tab, you won't inadvertently change the drop location while you're navigating/moving/copying your files.
The tab-drop is more powerful and needs less mouse precision when you drop, while the catalog-drop may be more convenient because you may not have to drag as far. That depends on how you have your source tab sorted and the current position in the list.

EDIT: Don't drag the shortcut .lnk file to the catalog; instead, drag the target network folder itself from either the tree or the list. Otherwise, you'll run into the same roadblock that you did when trying to drag to the shortcut file in the list.

I hardly believe it myself but: Drop on LNK files is currently not supported. Of course, I'll add it ASAP...

Don,
Are you overworked? We had to wait 2 whole hours for a requested feature to be added to XY!
What took you so long???

Wow, just a week in the club and already giving advice to others! And even correct advice!

Recovering from the shock that this feature is missing! If Explorer can do something that XY can't, it's like being kicked in the stomach. And this feature is even very useful, very natural, and very easy to implement. I still can't believe I never even thought of it.

Wow... that's fast and great support. I'll look for the change and in the mean time contiune learning the program.

That's not the fastest response I've seen by Don, but isn't unusual either...The quickest time ever between a bug report here and new beta release with fix being available that I recall was about 20 minutes! And that's even better than some anti-virus pgms when a new hot threat is going around.
I guess you see now why we think Don is the greatest, right?
And why we are such devoted fans of this software too?
