Serial rename with Tab: keep cursor position

Serial rename by Up/Down key keeps cursor position, great. But that doesn't work in all views. In thumbs (and large icons) view, serial rename is only available by tab/shift+tab. Can this be made to keep cursor position as well?

That will be difficult because of the multi-line captions.
