Find empty folders

I see in the XYplorerFree comparison of features that the paid version has find empty folders. Where and how do you do this and is it not available in the free version?

I'm not really sure but I think it may be linked to the Calculate Folder Size feature that does indicate whether a folder is really empty (-) or contains empty files or subfolders (0)

So to list all empty folders on one location, you should start by searching for all folders (Attribute Directory), then have XY to Calculate Folder Size. All those with "-" in their size column will be totally empty folders (ie. no empty files or folders)

XYF cannot distinguish between empty folders and zero byte folders.

hmm... so scripting will allow to run searches using templates ? Sweet !

And I also seem to remember you mentioning a way to "get input" (throw an dialog asking for the user to type in something), will we be able to use such input within the loaded template ? (eg. ask user and use his input as the text to search within files, other criteria (names, location, etc) being loaded from a template ?)

Thanks for the answers. I use a different program to do this but I think you are stretching it a bit to list this as a main feature upgrade facility.

Yes yes... scripting will be WOW. I always like to take some breath before doing a major feature. While I first thought (and said) that scripting would be relatively easy to do, I now start to see the possibilities of it. It will still be very relaxed coding but it will take a little meditation to get the rules for scripting, the syntax, alright. And I attempt to get it right at the first try (I hate writing backward code)... So -- maybe -- I will make 7.0 the scripting edition, and then come up with Undo next... maybe, not sure yet.
