Is there a way to force display of hidden drive

On our work computers drive "C:" is hidden.
In File Manager and file browsing dialogs we can override the path, e.g. c:\temp, by typing it in and then we can use it. XYPlorer seems to be validating that C and determines it is not a valid drive so I can't override the path.
Is there a way I could force it to treat C as a valid drive?
