Back Button history per Tab

ok this is a major one for me. It seems the back button doesnt work per tab, this is a major pain currently, because when i switch tabs and hit back, I would really like it to use the history of that tab only. Is there a way to do this?

At this time, history is shared among all tabs...and...guess you didn't look back in time too far, so please see this thread which has been a long running one about this topic:

I'd suggest any futher significant comments be made on that thread so we don't have various similar ones...but a quick reply here to
this would be fine...
