can I trigger MDBU preview by keyboard shortcut

I just find that image preview by MDBU looks really better than old float preview 
One thing bother me is that the MDBU function only triggered by mouse. And I'd like use keyboard only when viewing large mount of images;
Is there a way to trigger MDBU preview by script or existing command?
