freeze folder selection

in Excell you can freeze rows to have them alway in view while scrolling in a long document
I would like to propose something similar for XY
freeze folder selection
select a group of folders,
press a button or key shortcut
now the list scrolls under the frozen folders
the use of this is, in my case, to tidy up and organise big file lists, by droping them in the "frozen" folders.
