When I hover over the icon of a zip file, I get a popup with the first n files of the archive.
When I hover over the icon of a 7z or Rar file I get a 'simple' info popup.

Could it be because I have 7-Zip installed as the 64-bit version?

Nope.

ZipPath7zip= in the .ini file points to?...

They are both empty.

Should I manually set the paths to 7z.exe and Unrar.exe?

I manually added : ZipPath7zip=C:\Utilities\7-Zip\7z.exe
Now it works.

Not really user-friendly to have to do manually set it in the settings file, but I'm happy it now works.

If it would have been installed into the folder the installer suggests, it would have been found automatically.

I think I will add them to Configuration | Colors and Styles | Templates. Tweaking is not not everybody's cup of tea...

PS: Well, given that I plan to distribute UnRAR.dll and 7z.dll with future versions, the above is not necessary...

1. XYplorer can't find UnRar.exe in my system. Hover box does not work in Zip and 7z files (see attachments).
2. Hover Box doesn't fully support unicode. Preview panel same too (old problem).
3. Hover Box doesn't work in any video files which can be played in preview panel.
4. Unfortunately, the preview feature does not fully support unicode. The strange thing is that the same file (unicode filename) can be played in the preview panel, but it doesn't work in the floating preview panel (old problem).

1) I cannot understand your screenshot. What is it supposed to demonstrate?

2) All of your 4 claims are wrong AFAIK.

1. First, I have installed winrar, as before attachment. I type in address bar "ZipPathUnRAR=%ProgramW6432%\WinRAR\UnRAR.exe", Xyplorer responded with an error message. So Hover Box does not work for RAR and 7Z files.
2. If you try to replace any existing files (zip,rar,7z,mp4) with "いろんな踊", as a new file name. You will find what I mean.
For example:
a.zip > いろんな踊.zip
a.rar > いろんな踊.rar
a.7z > いろんな踊.7z
a.mp4 > いろんな踊.mp4 (Preview Panel work fine, Floating preview not)

And renaming a .rar file to いろんな踊.rar doesn't change anything for displaying its content.

Just trying to explain my file such as "いろんな踊.mp4", the hover box has no effect, but it can be played in the preview pane, and the floating preview has no effect.
And when the archive file name is unicode, the hover box does not work.

This is the problem with having to manually edit the .ini file. Not everyone will know what to do.

Just to make it clear:
1. Go to the Settings folder (mine is in the Xyplorer directory itself, but I think it may also be somewhere in the Users folder).
2. Open the Xyplorer.ini file in an editor (e.g., Notepad)
3. Search for the word 'ZipPath'
4. Add or edit the following lines: Of course, you should replace my paths with your own paths.

1. C:\Program Files\WinRAR\UnRAR.exe is the correct path, and I have already modified the Xyplorer.ini content myself.
2. "ZipPath7zip=" keep blnak.
