Open Path From BRDCRMB opens in other Pane???

If I attempt to open a path from my breadcrumb drop down in the second pane, it opens a new tab in the first pane. Not in my main XY config, but in another I have setup in a minimal fashion to be used at the side of my monitor.
This is driving me freaking insane.
I'm looking through settings, I'm comparing XY INI using a comparison utility...it is not apparent to me what is causing this.
It's likely right in front of my face and I foresee experiencing a palm slap in my near future.
