There is a new option in beta - make active tab the same color with breadcrumb bar.

Probably, it would be better to use the same color, but different shades - light and dark. Actually, this idea is already implemented in breadcrumbs drop-down menus:

First, a question: Is anybody apart from you and me using this new setting? I really got used to it.

Now for your idea: I'm not sure. I think I prefer the way it is now. Compare:

Me. And I love it.

I'm using it, and like it the way it is currently too.

I am not using the new setting, but am using in equivalent way manually set colors since perceived eternity.

Same as Borut, I set the colors the same manually long before the new setting came into affect. So yes, I like the colors the same too.

Here is another test:
For me, it looks okay: active tab visually separated from breadcrumb bar. But it's not a big difference. There are a lot of things which are much more valuable.

Is it hard for Tree Path Tracing having its own option to follow this setting, too, please?

Yes, a bit hard and a bit over the top IMO.

Well, I thought about it again, and added a tweak (next beta). It might be a good thing...

i use feature too, and actually like the topic starter's idea to get some shade difference for tab and breadcrumb bar be not totally blended.
