Catalog - Insert Item Selected Item(s) default action

If I select one or more txt files to a catalog category, the default action is to open (not goto). If I right click the category and select to add new items -> selected items, the default action is go to. When I click the category item it just goes to the folder of the txt file I added.
Is there a way to make the default action of adding selected items that are folders be "goto", and items that are files be "open"?
