Font Preview Manipulation

I would like to change the sample text shown when selecting a font with the preview pane enabled,

Currently the preview pane when selecting a font shows a 12pt 18pt 24pt 36pt cascade of the sentence "How quickly daft jumping zebras vex" And a 18pt alphanumerical set with some symbols. Perhaps it's already possible to change this but I would much prefer just a larger character set. If anything these existing sets can be made much larger as the preview only takes up 1/2 the space when the preview pane is given even a little room within windows. If anybody can point me in the direction to change this myself I'd be very thankful, As I have 60,000 fonts or so to sift through.

Thanks in advance

If you use the floating preview instead, it goes up to size 72.

Press F11 to invoke floating preview.

PS: Ctrl+Mouse wheel over the floating preview will scroll through the fonts in the current folder, and if you are using XY Pro, you can use the bottom bar Run Script button to script actions on the current file if you want.

Superb! This is much better. I'd still love the option to customize the text shown, this seems to be the windows default preview. Perhaps I'll be able to find a way to change that on a forum specializing in windows. Thanks man!

Also you can adjust the text displayed and the font size in the Info Panel Preview (Ctrl+4) which will affect both the preview pane and Info Panel preview areas.

I would like to use a fixed font for text preview such as Courier.

This thread is about font preview but for your wish to choose a font for text preview just go to "Configuration / General / Fonts / Edit Text".
I do believe though that the standard setting is already a Courier font.
