Disable image preview

I am working with satellite images, this means my image is always huge, and the preview feature is slow for me. Specifically, the com surrogate process is running in the background and block the XYPlorer from respond.
Is it possible to disable image preview in XYPlorer?

What Preview are you talking about? You can hide the info panel at the bottom of the screen (press F12), you can close the floating preview (F11), and you can hide the preview pane (Ctrl+F11), all will stop a preview from happening, you can also disable certain file types (or entire Images category) from being previewed via:
Configuration | Preview | Previewed Formats | Categories
Although I can't confirm it, the following setting could possibly speed up preview on large images, for times when you do want previews enabled:
Configuration | Preview | Preview | Image preview | High quality image resampling
