Mouse back button

I have a 5 button Logitech mouse. The "back" button works in Windows explorer (goes up one folder), Chrome (does the same as the Chrome "back" onscreen button, and Firefox (does the same as the Firefox "back" onscreen button). It appears to do nothing in xyplorer. Am I missing a setting? I would like to use the mouse back button to go up/back one folder.

Hi !
I too have Logitech mice on my machines. The back button works as expected on 2 of the 3 machines. On the problematic one, it triggers "double presses", but only in XY. I never figured out why as the mice and software is all the same.

What I did to get the back button to work normally in XY is set a profile in the Logitech software for XYPLORER.EXE and set the Back button to "Backspace". I am using Logitech Gaming Software, but Setpoint should allow the same profile/remapping options. Now when I press the Back button in XY, it works perfect and when I use it outside of XY, it too functions as it should for that software.

I am not running the setpoint software. However, I discovered that I am running the program "X-mouse button control". This has been installed and running for several years and frankly, I forgot all about it. After some initial investigation I found that I was mapping the wheel button to double-click and the back button to back. Setting the back button to "no intercept" seems to have fixed the problem with XYplorer. After some initial testing, it appears that the back button is now working for all of the applications mentioned including XYxplorer.
