XYplorer with delay before moving/deleting files (sometimes) [FIXED]

This seems to be happening since about 1 or 2 weeks ago...
XYplorer is sometimes very slow moving or deleting files. It takes 1+ seconds to SHIFT+Delete a single file. (If there are more files to delete, it only takes the extra time to begin the deletion process.)
If I open a "fresh" instance of XYplorer, the problem goes away...
I'm thinking about dumping my current config and start a new one (not really such a big problem). However, before doing so, I thought I'd ask here if there's some configuration parameter that could be causing this.

Thanks!

I'm going to assume that you are not using an external copy handler, ie; FastCopy / Teracopy.
Now I'm going to take a guess and suggest that it has something to do with the settings under Custom Copy Operations. I would play around with it a bit.

Thanks for the suggestions. However, changing custom copy settings didn't make a difference.
Meanwhile, I think I may have found the issue. I was using only one pane at the moment, but the other (currently hidden) pane has a single tab pointing to a network location (SMB server).
I set XYplorer for dual pane mode, closed extra tabs in the pane that was hidden and made the single tab point to a local path. Since then, I wasnt' able to reproduce the delay I was sometimes experiencing.
Let's hope this is it!
EDIT: I guess that was the problem! I never experienced any delay since... FIXED!

Thank you!
I just had the same problem in XYplorer 22.60 and 23.00.
Each time I moved a file, there was a delay with XYplorer not being responsive for about 5-10 seconds. Really frustrating.
I always have dual panes enabled and for me it happened when I was not connected to the SMB server for the tab in the other pane:
- First, I had the problem for several days with XYplorer 22.60.
- Then I restarted the computer and the problem was still there.
- Then I updated XYplorer from 22.60 to 23.00 and the problem was still there.
- Then I switched to another tab in the other pane and the problem was gone.
- Then I switched back to the SMB tab in the other pane and the problem was there again.
It would be nice if this problem could be fixed. The currently active tab in the other pane should not affect move operations in the active pane.
Even though the workaround is rather easy, it's definitely not obvious that it's the tab in the other pane that causes the problem.
Additional hints:
- I have the General / Startup & Exit / "No network browsing on startup" setting checked.
- I apparently had general connection problems to the SMB server, both before and after the reboot. I had to restart the Windows service Workstation again after the reboot to access the SMB server. Then the problem in XYplorer also disappeared, but I suppose the problem will be back again the next time SMB server access is messed up. It happens sporadically on my computer.

Interesting observation. Can you say whether the delay was before or after the move (I would expect *after*)?
PS: Could reproduce and fix it. Next beta.

Awesome! Thank you very much.
I'm still waiting for my SMB server issues to reappear, then I'll try it our and let you know.
While having the issue I'll try out the new beta version to verify that it's fixed there.

I got the SMB connection issue again and then the error with delayed move in XYplorer also came back.
Yes, you're correct. The delay is after the file has been moved.
Upgraded to version v23.00.0007 and I can confirm that the problem is fixed in this version.
Many thanks!
