Good afternoon all,
In Explorer, if I right-click, I get the New context menu with choices for new documents, e.g. Microsoft Excel Worksheet, etc. I don't particularly use this option; however, a co-worker (new to XY) is asking where that is in XY. In XY, I see New and New Items, but none of the "templates" from the Windows ShellNew folder are there.

I'm sure they are in XY somewhere, I just can't find them.

Windows Explorer gets all those entries from the registry (pointers to ShellNew), and because XY is made to be so portable it has it's own entries instead which you can customize easily to contain only the items you need, For more info:

or you could write a script to read the registry and create a menu like the one displayed in Explorer, or just copy the Templates to the NewItems folder.
