I rename the file by F2. Finally, I didn't press Enter. Instead, I click with mouse on other places. The file has been renamed, but the list will not be sorted automatically.

I actually like that feature since you know you can stay in the same list pane screen area if you simply click somewhere after rename and not be bounced to the rename list area. There are times when I want to stay in the same vicinity and other times I don't. Hitting Enter initiates the resort. The same applies to in-place renames without F2.

What you say may be right, but this configuration "Resort list immediately after renamee" is puzzling and misleading.
