Where shall we dbl-click to open new tab? With Opera, Firefox and Maxthon you click in the empty part of the tab bar. This means (w/ my settings) you can open about 6 tabs before all space is occupied and there's nowhere left to dbl-click. With XY, there is no empty space cuz tabs resize to occupy all space. I would love to be able to dbl click the tab to close it and dbl click elsewhere to open a new one. No, no please don't - I wouldn't know what to do with "everything possible". I agree with you entirely about zenitude (zenness?).
