Is it possible to have no tree at all in the left pane?

Hello everybody,

I've been trying XYplorer for like a week now and it has some good features. But I just can't seem to find out to completely remove a 'tree like' view on the left pane. I would just like a Quick Access/Favorites in my left pane. Is this possible?

I've been trying various options, but if I add something to the (Mini) tree it still adds the path layers. Don't know if that's entirely the right way to express it, but I attached a screen shot.:

So I want the folders Documents, Dropbox and my NAS pinned as a Quick access item and no tree at all. It also keeps adding other shares on my NAS that I browse into the tree.

Well I think I made my point, is there somebody who can help me out?

Thank you in advance! :)

Look into the Windows menu item, it lets you disable the tree and while you are in it, enable the catalog there, it allows you to do what you want to

This is indeed what I was talking about!

I added a location to it and it worked, but than I added more locations and when I click them now. Nothing happens in the explorer view. Any idea what this could be? It keeps showing 'Desktop' no matter what location is selected. I probably must have changed something for this view to be fixed, but I have no idea what...

Show a screenshot of such a catalog entry (it's properties), that does not work...

Yeah I wanted to do that, but I couldn't find how to include an attachment for a moment.

Those are Categories not Items!

Drag a location to one of them, or right click it and select Add New Item Here

I see now, that is what I was looking for. I added it as a category like this:

That is for Click and Search, you instead need Items within a category to navigate to those in the right pane.

That's a good tutorial movie! I watched a few, but I hadn't seen this one yet. In the beginning I didn't know that what I was looking for was called 'Catalog' in this software. :)

The software has a lot of potential! Are you also the creator of the software btw? Because I have a question about the trial.

And that question is?

Well, I have only 3 days left on my trial and just now I can use the software as I wanted. Is there a way to extend the trial period? I was really busy the past few months and didn't have enough time to figure out this stuff about the Catalog view and adding my Quick Access/Favorites folders with items.

It would be much appreciated, because right now it would be to short of time to tell if I want to buy the software.

You can't extend the trial but you could reset it by deleting your XYplorer.ini file (caution: you'll lose all your settings!).

Alternatively, you could just download the portable version and use that as a trial...

I already saved my Catalog a few times in different files, so that won't be a problem! :)

Thanks, now I can try it out for another 30 days and after that I will have a good evaluation.
