Steps to reproduce the freezing/lagging issue:
1. Run a FRESH XY v18.70.0103.
2. Create a folder:
D:\TEST\test_scrolling_lag\ and open it. Do not change Details View to Thumb View yet.
3. Put a sufficient amount of JPGs in that folder, so that a vertical scrollbar could appear in Thumb View in that folder. I put 50 duplicates of the JPG below in that folder.

4. Under
Details View, batch rename all JPGs in folder
test_scrolling_lag using this pattern:
Code: Select all

5. Set
Configuration > Preview > Thumbnails > Caption Lines to
2(default)-
8.
6. Change
Details View to
Thumbnails #1 (64x64). The view changing process may start yielding freezing. If XY freezes, continue with step 7, otherwise use mouse wheel to start to scroll the thumbs list. Slow scrolling yields lagging feeling. Fast scrolling, by contrast, may yield freezing of XY.
7. If XY freezes over 10 seconds, force closing the freezing FRESH XY, and run a FRESH XY v18.70.0103 again. Then navigate to folder
D:\TEST\test_scrolling_lag\ and open it. Do not change Details View of folder
test_scrolling_lag to Thumb View yet.
8. Set
Configuration > Preview > Thumbnails > Caption Lines from
2(default) to
1.
9. Change
Details View to
Thumbnails #1 (64x64).
10. Set
Configuration > Preview > Thumbnails > Caption Lines from
1 to
2(default)-
8. Then the FRESH XY may start yielding freezing. If not, use mouse wheel to start to scroll the thumbs list. Slow scrolling yields lagging feeling. Fast scrolling, by contrast, may yield freezing of XY.
