Previewing text files, context menu issue

When previewing a .txt file in Info panel - Preview tab, the context menu inside the viewer is that used by IE. If rename .txt file to something else (eg .dat or anything) XY uses the usual previewer context menu.
IMHO it is better to preview all text files using the plain text viewer instead internet explorer's rendering engine.

I presume that you are a fairly new user of XY, right? This subject has been discussed before here and the conclusion (as I recall) was that since IE and XY preview the same file in slightly different ways, the user now has the choice of how to see it, which wouldn't be possible in your suggestion.

Also, you could de-select TXT files in formats previewed in Config and that would force XY to use internal viewer only...

Thanks for the info j_c_hallgren. I didn't know that trick with the file formats. Btw, you presume right, I'm a new user of XY :)

For reference, you may want to read this section of wiki (and related links):

I now found that I'd replied to your first/original thread/post here, but in the week since, had forgotten about that...duh! So I should have known you were a new user! There have been a few more new forum users lately, so I'll blame it on that...
