can i revert from 18.20 to version 18 without issue (about preferences and all the folder stored in the main folder portable version or all the settings stored in users in installation version ) ?

i use always the copy feature and in the new version there is no more tabs drop down list
seeing i have several tabs on my destination , i have always to select the right tab in the new version 18.20

There's no need to revert - if that's your only issue or / and

What do you mean? Nothing was removed.

Click on "Tabs..." and you get your list.

Most likely yes. Why not simply try it? With XY's open, flat, and portable configuration layout you risk nothing by just trying it in some temp folder with a copy of your data.
