XYplorer Beta Club

I am a fairly recent convert to XYPlorer, having been a fan of Directory Opus for some time beforehand. Like what I see, except for one problem. When I try to drag & drop a file from desktop to an open XYPlorer pane nothing happens. Dragging the file between 2 XYPlorer panes works fine. Why is this?

I guess you are running XYplorer with admin permissions ("Run as administrator")?

It does. If you run it without admin permissions drag and drop works from the desktop.
Applications that run with different permissions (admin vs. non admin) can't by
default communicate with each other (to be more precise: The app with non admin
permissions can't communicate with the app with admin permissions). The desktop
is AFAIK driven by explorer.exe which by default runs with user permissions.
