looking for a drive letter bar

I often find myself deep in the folder structure and then it is quite annoying to navigate to another drive letter.
I added drive letters to my favorites but then I need to open the favorites menu, go to the favorites folder and select the favorite which I do not regard as a quick link.
Is there a way to get a bar which shows all available drive letter so that I can change to another drive with a single click?

What about a popup menu?
Could be invoked via a keyboard shortcut, e.g....
Code: Select all
$drives = "";
foreach($drive, get("drives")) { $drives = $drives . "$drive;;$drive|"; }
$drive = popupnested($drives);
if ($drive) { goto $drive; }

That is not the solution I was looking for.
Currently I am using idoswin pro which is not as feature rich as xyplorer but is much easier to configure, has some essential features I miss in xyplorer and has a cleaner GUI as shown in the attached picture.

There is no standalone drive bar (apart from modifying your toolbar).
Other possibilites
- The "All Drives toolbar (Group)" toolbar button
- A script that changes your main toolbar against a drive buttons bar (and toggles it back)
- A tweak (still no drive bar but easy to reach)
CEA_TreeRightClickOnWhite=2
Right clicking on empty space in the tree will show you only drives

I also came from a Filemgr with a Driveletter-Bar, and I am now using the Catalog to navigate to my favoreite drives or folders.<Also the Driveletter-Button is quite useful - although I must admit I wished it would be more responsive (seems to scan drives whenever clicked...). And I realize it adds an extra click...

Thanks for pointing me to that solution which I think I can adapt to.
It is an extra click but a lot better than the favorites approach.

What's wrong with the toolbar button called "Drives"?

Toolbar properties aka 'customize toolbar', scan for 'all drives (group)' button via live filter box, add it, be happy - no extra clicks!
Check out down for other drive button options, too - they can be heavily useful for certain drives' arrangements.

And yet another option:
Expandable Drive Button (script-based toolbar modification). I recommend to read that thread from start.

This screenshot looks weird (the icons). What's your display settings?

Thanks for asking - I always forget to complain ;-)
I have a laptop with a 3840 x 2160 Display running with a factor of 250%. Secondary monitor is 1920 x 1080 @ 100% and moving XY from 1 to 2 is a PITA ;-)

Fixed the icons.
Multi-monitor stuff is harder. Later.

It has occurred to me lately that much of my Tab area and Breadcrumb Bar area could be used for drive and bookmark icons...
I realize that these areas are reserved for other things (like tabs and breadcrumbs!). Still though, with computer monitors getting wider and wider all the time....
Just a thot.
