Hi,

Sorry to throw this out on here, but just recently I have been having trouble with these forums. About 75% of the time after I read a message thread, it's still marked as unread (though if I use either the "mark all topics read" in a particular forum or the "mark all forums read" all messages do properly get marked as read).

I never had a problem with this until a few days ago... the problem persists even after a reboot, etc...

Is anyone else having this problem? Any thoughts on how to solve it (other than the "go back to a forum that I know I've finished, and do a 'mark all' on it")?

Yes, I have the same issue but just have gotten so used to dealing with it, that it doesn't bother me that much now...I just have to do more F5 refreshes than I think I should need to, but...given how often I'm here (sometimes every 5-10 min), it's not as much of an problem as if I visited only occasionally, since I know what I just read.

No problems here. Thread gets marked as read after i click it once. I dont know if this thing is browser specific or not, but for your info I use Opera browser 9.23.

Well.. I never experienced anything like this, but unless you open many different topics at once (multi-tabs) there's no reason for such a thing to occur, I think. Did you try to clean all your cookies for this forum, then log in again ?
I heard cleaning cookies could solve such problems, although I don't remember if it was for a phpBB forum or another one. Either way, you should try, can't hurt anyway

Could be too, as I think Opera likes to use his cache to get better speeds. Especially true if using the "back" button...

Well, that did it -- just cleaning the cookies did the trick... (I thought I had tried that before, but apparently not...)

In any case, it looks to be fixed now...
