It would be cool if custom columns would be able to display icons as well.
Type: Script
Format: Icon

And if the script ends with a return "<full path to .ico file>";
the icon is shown, otherwise it's still empty.

XY could serve e.g. as a visual tool (for files & folders), e.g. for a resource planner, todo list, etc.
It would enhance it with workflow capabilities (which use a graphic state
to show the progress of a task)...

It's cool to have tags and labels to classify items, but general support for icons (and a small subset of image types, like png, jpg, bmp, which are often found among icon sets) would allow for a whole new depth in file management, plenty of freedom.

Little preview (of course, you can have as many icon columns as you want; you could probably program a slot machine in the file list).

If only we could put a wall around each XYplorer user protecting them from those imperialist non-german based tech companies...

BUT AT LEAST WE CAN MONITOR THE FORUMS IN SEARCH FOR TRAITORS!
This is step one in order to make file management a great experience again...

They don't scale. Vertical positioning needs some refinement... next beta...

You can't 'cause there is none.

A few glitches:
If "Item type" is set to "Files", icons for folders are shown, too
If "Item type" is set to "Folders", folder icons are shown for files oO

Yep, fix is coming.

BTW, I hope I soon see some fascinating screenshots by you, folks. This feature has mind-boggling possibilities...
