Reminder needed

to find some reminder is not a big deal, but i actually need one with extra functions. main desired features:
- the more options of reminder settings/repeat/snooze -the better
- desirably small interface and memory consumption(meant grand children of Outlook are out from the start)
- ability to show reminds when specific program is started or file opened
- ..and of course free soft is more welcome

examples where i need reminds:
- of some important date, meeting, concert;
- of an email i need to do something about;
- about edits i needed to do over file i opened right now;
- about actions i needed to do as i opened this program(like visit web site, do specific search)
- ..and of course all these need to be reminded not only once, but with flexible before-head and periodicity.

do you people know any?

You need to pay $28.99 USD a year to get all the features, but I use Todoist - available on web/mobile/desktop

https://en.todoist.com/comparePlans

I switched from Remember the Milk around 18 months or so ago

Cheers,
Michael

And Todoist does that?

@mkolaski thanks for variant, but as highend mentioned both can't check file\program access. plus their cloud-based orientation is more of minus for me.

No, but it does all the other items noted under `examples` above.

LastActivityView (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/computer_a ... _view.html) looks like it might provide that funcationality

ToDoList (http://abstractspoon.weebly.com/) isn't a bad offline task manager

I've most of the other task list type apps - RTM, Nozbe etc etc - logging what apps run on your pc isn't a standard `task list` type function - it'd be akin to using Photoshop as your text editor or Directory Opus as your file manager :biggrin:

What he needs is a todo / reminder software can be controlled via a command line tool (add event, remove one, etc.).
In that case he would just need scripted custom file associations that trigger the command line tool if a specific .exe is
executed, a file (type) opened (at least if everything is done via XY!), etc. Everything else will get... messy...

What a joke - wanted to create a topic asking for some reminder apps, made a search to find i did very same thing 13 years ago! :lol:

So this time criteria is simpler:
- extensive customization of When remind should occur and even more important When/How often it must be repeated
- customizable snooze would be good
- small resources consumption desired (some "reminders" on .Net are really scary)
- web/sync not important, fully offline is good
- if that can do simple task along reminding, like "run program" and "copy files", that would be great, but not most important

Most important is the first point. For example i need this app to let me set these kind of reminds:
- occur every 3 days and during day, starting from 11am to 20 pm, every 45min show a reminder
- every Mon, Wed, Fri show reminder at 22pm
- on specific date show reminder at 9am and 2 more times during that day, with period of 4hr 15min

May somebody know smth capable for this?

the best is swift to do list,which has --

1)Reminder with notes

2)Task recurrence by daily, weekly or monthly pattern

3)Custom snooze values

4)keyboard shortcuts

5)undo/redo of tasks

6)filtering of tasks

7)reorder of tasks

8)custom columns

9)importing of database if you reinstall windows

10)Sort by due date or priority

11)archived tasks(all deleted tasks are put here,and you can restore them from here)
